I'm just trying to have a good time and figure things out.

Wait, spring doesnt...

...happen until March. April maybe. But November? In Denver? I guess weirder things have happened.

Today was the first official Wash Park Sunday. We didnt have the grill out yet, but bocce, frisbee, beer (and me drinking wine straight from the bottle - a little silent protest), ONE dog, and some sunshine. As always, many friends came from many different friend groups and we became one happy family.

A great way to end a great weekend, too. I had friends come up from Texas to go skiing in Vail. In exchange for some local knowledge and a few ski tips, I got to sleep on an air mattress para gratis. Not a bad deal - I think I used up the end of this season's Vail days as well. Love my friends, glad we got to spend some good time together. If only everyone would figure out that they should all live in Colorado...actually, lets keep that one a secret, aye?

With the good times comes the work. I am traveling quite heavily for the next few weeks...so I hope that the weather is shitty in Denver so that I dont miss any porch days. Wink.

Its time to...

...celebrate President's Day. Hooray. According to some of my friends: "Everybody has President's Day off." Well, what I am going to do since I have the day off? Calculate projected inventory usage for the next two weeks. Order inventory based on projections and ship said inventory to projected locations. Coordinate travel schedule to comply with projected surgery schedules. Re-coordinate pre-existing travel schedules according to surgery schedule changes. Get a new desk chair because my back hurts. Convince Craig to make me lunch so that I dont have to go upstairs, ever. Track down missing/misplaced equipment and retrieve serial numbers. Buy new ultrasound attachment. Buy plane tickets, book hotel rooms. Oh yeah, and I am going to try to wax my skis. Busy day? Not really. Pretty normal actually. But no, I cant go bowling at 2pm. And no, not everybody has today off.
American Gladiator Update: The obviously/apparently coked-up Evan took the title last night. I missed the ending because I fell asleep. And who wouldnt have? The episode was 2 hours long. Praise be to DVR, because if you fast-forwarded through all the sob-stories, rantings by Evan, and commericals, you could watch all the action in less than 13 minutes. Have a great day off!

Craig gets free...

...beer. But sometimes he doesnt, um, get it the right way.

I've been traveling...

...a lot, but that doesnt mean that I can't continue living. And when I say "living" it means "being obessive with going to breweries." On my way back from Grand Junction today, I stopped by three breweries, went through an entire bag of sunflower seeds (which is, in fact, more effective than running coffee through an I.V.), sang my voice hoarse (did you know that XM Radio now has a channel completely devoted to Led Zeppelin? Excellent), and watched my brother and his girlfriend cause a scene at the Chinese takeout place while we waited for our food. Seriously, who tries to lick people? Oh wait, I think he learned that from me...

I've been so...

...busy that I havent had time to post. You know, skiing. Mardi Gras. More skiing, etc. Oh yeah, and work. Boo work.

Skiing has been pretty good lately. Actually, its been the best Ive seen in years and years. And last weekend I skiied for work...A Urology meeting in Vail forced me to hang out up there for four days. It snowed so hard that I-70 was closed from Georgetown to Vail, unfortunately blocking entry for all the people wanting to ski the epic snowfall we had. Sorry guys, but that 12 inches of untracked powder was probably too much for you to handle anyway. The light at the end of the tunnel: after all those face-shots I had one of the best ice-beards Ive had in the last 5 years.
